Privacy Policy
Golfpay cares about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains and governs Golfpay’s practices regarding the collection, use, and dissemination of personal information that you provide in connection with Golfpay’s website, mobile application, or other services (the “Online Services”).
By using the Online Services, you are accepting and agree to the terms in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy will be updated periodically. If you do not agree with the terms in this Privacy Policy, do not use the Online Services.
What Personal Information is Collected?
Golfpay collects information you provide directly on Online Services. Golfpay does not collect any personally identifiable information about you, other than what you provide voluntarily for various purposes. To use the Online Services, you need to create an account. The types of information collected to start an account may include your first and last name; mobile phone number; email address; zip code and billing information. Golfpay asks for this information so that it can fulfill your request to use the Online Services, and to send you special offers from the golf courses that you've interacted with via Golfpay. Your contact information is shared (programmatically), with each golf course that you do business with in order to verify reservations and/or payment information, or to send you course updates. If you choose not to provide any personal information about yourself, you may not be able to participate in Online Services. If you provide personal information, you agree to provide true and accurate information and to promptly notify Golfpay of any changes in the information.
Golfpay may store any information you submit through the Online Services. This information is retained and used in accordance with existing laws, rules, regulations, and other policies. Generally, the information is used to manage the Online Services, communicate with you, and to customize the content.
Golfpay does not sell its customer data. Golfpay does not disclose personal information or customer data to third parties except (1) for the purpose of communicating with you or a golf course when it is necessary for completing a transaction; (2) when it is necessary to maintain the Online Services or to correct a technical problem; (3) when it is necessary to verify the existence or condition of your account with a financial institution, credit bureau or other third-party; (4) with your Home Course; or (5) if Golfpay sells or merges the company or its assets with another company.
Under special circumstances Golfpay may, and you authorize Golfpay to, disclose personally identifiable information without your consent if Golfpay believes, in its discretion, it is reasonable to do so to satisfy laws or government regulations, comply with legal process or law enforcement requests, commence legal actions to protect its rights or property or to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or violations of this Privacy Policy or other terms found on its website and mobile application.
